This school, in addition to it’s other activities, allowed the pupils to use their language in practical sessions like their version of X factor. The Spanish and English Schools learnt songs in their languages, then used video conferencing to engage in an X factor type competition where the winner was decided by both countries. The school also integrated partnership work with their Spanish school by using Peer assessment to assess the quality of language use.
The school also engaged parents via a Spanish club and it included tastings provided by the local Spanish restaurant and flamenco workshops. The judges’ felt that the school had immersed themselves into the Spanish Culture.
